AOCN Services

Once a central office code (NXX) or a thousand-block (NXX-X) has been assigned, it is the responsibility of the service provider to ensure that the data included in ATIS-0300119, Thousands-Block (NPA-NXX-X) & Central Office Code (NPA-NXX) Administration Guidelines Part 2 (Central Office Code Routing and Rating Information) and/or Part2A (Thousands-Block Routing and Rating Information) is entered into the iconectiv's Business Integrated Routing Rating Database System (BIRRDS). The ATIS-0300119, Thousands-Block (NPA-NXX-X) & Central Office Code (NPA-NXX) Administration Guidelines and forms are located on ATIS website.

The service provider may enter its own data or may have another company enter the data for them. Each company that provides this data entry service into the iconectiv's Business Integrated Routing & Rating Database System (BIRRDS) has an assigned Administrative Operating Company Number (AOCN). Choosing a company to provide AOCN services is referred to as "selecting an AOCN." A list of companies that provide AOCN services is located at the iconectiv TruOps Telecom Routing Administration (TRA)
