Numbering Resource Utilization/Forecast (NRUF) Report

Carriers are required to report on the status of its geographic (CO code and thousands-block resources) and non-geographic (5XX-NXX and 9YY-NXX resources) semi-annually on or before February 1 and August 1 of each year, using FCC Form 502, North American Numbering Plan Numbering Resource Utilization/Forecast (NRUF) Report.

Carriers may submit its FCC Form 502 using the:

  • Web-based User Interface - Upload NRUF FCC Form 502 directly into the NANP Administration System (NAS).  
     
  • Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) - Contact NANPA Customer Support at 866-623-2282 to request SFTP access.
     
  • Application Programming Interface (API) - Contact NANPA Customer Support at 866-623-2282 to request API access.

State regulatory commissions with appropriate confidentiality protections in place can access NRUF reports for their respective state containing disaggregated service provider-specific NRUF data for those carriers with geographic numbering resources in their state.
